Exhibition "VISIONES DE AYAMONTE". My fourth individual exhibition.

Next Friday July 5th the opening of my fourth individual exhibition as iphonographer will take place. I have entitled it "VISIONS OF AYAMONTE", and it can be visitd from 5th to 18th July at the beutiful Sala de Las Tinajas of the so called CASA GRANDE, in Ayamonte.

Ayamonte has become my second home since 2006. From that summer onwards, I always spend my holidays there. I begin to feel it as my second home, my second city. I konw its people, its streets, its gastronomy, its beaches.

The exhibitions consists of 48 photographies, groupped by topics, taking advantage of the morphology of the Sala de Las Tinajas. I show my vision about the city and its surroundings. They are all unique moments captured by my iPhone while I wandered around its streets, its beaches, during differente moments of the day, morning, afternoon, evening.

I pretend to give a general vision of how much I love Ayamonte, how I feel it as mine, and how it has become my second home, alternating photos in color, and in black and white, depending on the topic. You are all invited! Thank you!

V.P.O. designed by Toyo Ito. Logroño. #LaRiojaApetece

I was greatly surprised to learn that Logroño has V.P.O. (Public Housings) designed by 2013 Pritzker Prize, the japanese architect Toyo Ito. As it usually happens with this kind of Architecture, they are criticized by the people of the city, but I must say I liked them a lot. It is a privilage for Logroño to have a project designed by one of the most important architects of the world nowadays. 

Me sorprendió muy positivamente saber que Logroño tiene unas V.P.O. diseñadas por el Premio Pritzker 2013, el arquitecto japonés Toyo Ito. Como suele ocurrir con este tipo de Arquitectura, son muy criticadas por los habitantes de la ciudad, pero yo debo decir que me gustaron mucho. Es un privilegio para Logroño contar con un proyecto de uno de los arquitectos más importantes del mundo en la actualidad.

When I arrived at Logroño´s train station, I was really surprised by its architecture. It turned out that to be designed by Iñaki Ábalos, who taught me "Proyectos Arquitectónicos I" at E.T.S.A.M. I really liked it a lot.

Cuando llegué a la estación de tren de Logroño, fue gratamente sorprendido por su arquitectura. Resulta que había sido proyectada por Iñaki Ábalos, quien fue profesor mío de "Proyectos Arquitecónicos I" en la E.T.S.A.M. La verdad es que me gustó mucho.

Three Honorable Mentions in the IPhone Photography Awards 2013.

I had great news yesterday, beacause I learnt that I have been awarded with three Honorable Mentions in the IPhone Photography Awards 2013, one the most important awards dedicated to mobile photography in the world, especially to photography shot and edited only on iPhone. 

Two photo are included in the categoty of "Architecture", the reflection on a puddle of the Royal Academy of History, Madrid, just in front of my home, and the Capitol building. The first photo had already been chosen as Editor´s selection in 500px. and was also awarded with another Honorable Mention in the last M.P.A. It is a very especial photo to me!

The other one was included in the category of "Sunset", and it is the picture of a beautiul sunset in Galicia that I shot during the blogtrip to which I was invited by Arousa Norte.

I would like to congratulate all winners and mentions in the different categories, and especially my dear collegue Jose Luis, @joseluisbarcia , who has won in the category of "Architecture" and has also been awarded with two Honorable Mentions in the same category. I would like to thank IPhone Photography Awards for these Mentions. Let´s make mobile photography a well known Art throughout the world!!

Invited by PHOTOESPAÑA to the "Real Time exhibition" with SAMSUNG

I'm very happy to share with you that I've been selected by PHOTOESPAÑA to be part of the exhibition "REAL TIME EXHIBITION", together with SAMSUNG.

Samsung Galaxy Camera, the first camera with Android and 3G, presents REAL TIME EXHIBITION, a photographic exhibition in real time. It´s the first exhibition alive, popular and professional, that updates constantly. Five professional photographers, included me (although I must say i´m not pro), and fifteen amateurs, selected via Facebook, will offer twenty points of view twenty experiences through thousands of photos uploaded to the exhibition ij real time. An exhibition that will be watched life and online through Samsung España´s Facebook.

Two of my pics selected for the exhibition of Avutarda 2013 Photography Contest, Parla Townhall

The townhall of Parla has organized the Photography Contest "Avutarda 2013". My friend Fede told me about it two days before deadline. We decided to participate with three photos each. We had to rush because we had not much time.

I assisted to the jury´s decition, which was made public yesterday. I was not awarded with any prize, but I´m very proud to say that two of my pics were selected to be part of the exhibition of 50 photos, among more than 300 photos that were submitted, the only two photos shot and edited with iPhone... Thank you for convincing me, fede!

Collaboration with Olga / Colaboración con Olga. April 2013

This picture is a collaboration between my friend Olga and myself. And this is the text that accompanied the photo when uploaded to IG and EyeEm:

"One of the best things about IG, to me, apart from the birth of the passion for mobile photography, is the good people I have met. Among them, there's a very special one to me, @olgavimo. Olga has become a very close friend, inside and outside IG. We understand each other perfectly, think the same way, look at the world with the same eyes. Olga found herself one day in front of this glass façade and immediately thought of me, shot this pic and sent it to me as a present. She knows me so well... It's my pleasure to edit the pic she shot for me. Thank you, Olga!"

I am happy to share with you all that I´m travelling this afternoon to La Rioja, invited by La Rioja Turismo, to photograph the so called "Architecture of wine", five well known wine cellars, which have been, at the same time, designed by great architects. It´s going to be a 24 hours marathon, in which I will combine my two passions: Architecture and Mobile Photography. Nothing could make me happier!

I wold like to thank La Rioja Turismo, and especially Mónica Figuerola for the invitation to this wonderful experience. You may find information about the wine cellars below, and I hope to post soon the pictures that I am going to shoot.
