Silvia in my world of dreams / Silvia en mi mundo de los sueños. "Festival della Fotografia di Iglesias" (8). Sapore d´Italia

This is my friend Silvia. Silvia had a dream: promote her city, Iglesias, in Sardinia. This dream became true and she organised the First "Festival della Fotografia di Iglesias". She trusted a foreigner and invited me to impart a conference about "mobile photography and social networks" (something which doesn't happen to me in my own country...). I am most grateful to her, her family, and the wonderful people I met there. Thank you, Silvia!

¡Muchas gracias, Silvia!

Pan di Zucchero, in Masua, Iglesias, Sardinia. "Festival della Fotografia di Iglesias" (7). Sapore d´Italia.

One of the most known symbols of Iglesias is the "Pan di Zucchero", at Masua beach. Simone Franceschi, the Iglesias´s Cultual Councilor asked me to post photos of it on IG and let the world know its beauty. I did so, as promised, because once the First "Festival della Fotografia di Iglesias" arrived to its end, my friend Silvia took us there, together with her family and her friends, Ale, Carla, Benny and Marco. We arrived just before lunch and we left soon after the sunset, so I had the privilege to witness one of the most beautiful sunsets I had ever watched. I would like to dedicate this post to Simone to show him my gratitude for having trusted me and my work. Thank you, Simone!

¡Gracias, Simone!

Street Photography in Iglesias. "Festival della Fotografia di Iglesias" (6). Sapore d´Italia

But Iglesias is not only beautiful because of its colorful streets and clothe lines. It is also beautiful to me because wandering around its streets reminded me of the italian films of the 60-70´s which I love so much. While I strolled down the beautiful lanes during the First "Festival della Fotografia di Iglesias", I had the impression that I would meet Marcello Mastroianni, Alberto Sordi or the marvellous Sofia Loren at any moment. Just watch these pics and let me know if you have the same impression.

Clothe lines in Iglesias / Ropa tendida en Iglesias. "Festival della Fotografia di Iglesias" (3). Sapore d´Italia

One of the things that stroke me most about the buildings in Iglesias, is that on many of them you could see clothes lines, which is something very unsual in Spain. I must admit that, altough it seems quite bizarre to me, it made the streets very colorful and cheerful. I really liked it! I would like to dedicate this post to my friend Nei Cruz, who also loves clothes lines and kept on telling me so every time I posted one of those pics.

¡Realmente me gustó!

Sapore d´Italia.

Like every city in Italy, Iglesias is very colorful and beautiful. It was our pleasure to wande around its streets guided by our friend Silvia, while I captured its streets with my iPhone.

Sardinia seen from above / Cerdeña vista desde arriba. "Festival della Fotografia di Iglesias" (1). Sapore d´Italia.

These pictures where shot from the plain that was taking us to Cagliari, on my way to assist to the First "Festival della Fotografia di Iglesias". We were lucky enough to arrive when the sun was already beginning to set, so we had a wonderful view, with a wonderful light. At the airport my friend Silvia was waiting for us. The Festival was about to begin....
