Welcome EyeEm 3.0 / Bienvenida la versión 3.0 de EyeEm

The photo sharing app EyeEm launched yesterday its third version, EyeEm 3.0, with a new logo and new features.

I'm very fond of this app, which I joined last February, especially because, rather than being an app to chat, flirt and make friends, it's an app focused on Photography. There are always exceptions, but in general, people upload very good pictures to EyeEm in order to share good Photography with people all around the world.

Well, it also happens that the EyeEm's team is very approachable, in comparison with other apps' team. They kindly asked me to test the beta version for a few days and send them feedback about it. Once the testing period was over, they sent me a few questions about the new version, because the launching was going to be featured in WeAre JUXT's blog.

I want to thank EyeEm's team for having relyed on me for their testing and encourage them to keep up the good work!!

My photos in Metropol Parasol´s Facebook / Mis fotos en el Facebook del Metropol Parasol

Last Sunday I created an album in EFTI with upside down pictures of Metropol Parasol. Well, the people in charge of Metropol´s social media saw them, liked them and wrote to me an email asking me for permission to creat an album in Facebook with some of them. I answered yes of course, and that I was very grateful to them for it. This is the album they made with my pics. Thank you, guys, it´s a great honor for me!

One of my pics featured in the "Weekly Showcase" by Iphone Arts

Six days ago, I woke up with the surprise of a comment on one of my pics uploaded three days earlier. Egmont, founder of Iphone Arts, a wonderful site about iphoneography, announced me that the photo of "Madrid reflected on a bus passing by" had been selected as a finalist to the "The IPhone Arts - Weekly Showcase".

I would like to thank Egmont for selecting my photo and all the work he´s doing to encourage iPhoneography. It´s a great honor for me to appear on his web.

I leave here the photo selected and the link to the Weekly Showcase.

Life in Santa Justa / Vida en Santa Justa, Sevilla. July 2012

Photos shot on various Fridays at Santa Justa railway station, in Sevilla, while waiting for my wife to arrive from Madrid. This is a fabulous building designed by two great architects from Sevilla, Cruz y Ortiz, which I love and which keeps on surprising me every time I walk into it, even though I´ve been doing it very often for the past ten years. Light is the main actor in the wonderful space, and this is what I tried to capture.

July 2012

This is another example of the kind of edit I never do, because it´s not my style, nor do I like to transform a photo in such a way. However, I wanted to try the app DXP. I blended two pictures shot almost simultaneously from the driver´s position while I was driving towards Sevilla, done with DXP with the fx effect Difference. I must admit I liked the result, that´s why I uploaded it to IG and EyeEm
