DecorAcción 2011. Barrio de Las Letras + Nuevo Estilo

The great event of decoration in Madrid took place from September 29th to October 1st. The magazine "Nuevo Estilo", in collaboration with Barrio de las Letras (my neighborhood), organized the 2nd edition of Decoracción, 3 days in which anyone could enjoy the decoration and design on the streets. Antique flea markets, emblematic façades decorated by the best designers, shop windows designed by interior designers. The neighborhood was really chererful and colorful. I was struck by the streets decorated with suspended umbrellas, and graceful mannequins in suggestive attitude and poses.

Del 29 de septiembre al 1 de octubre tuvo lugar la gran fiesta de la decoración en Madrid. La revista Nuevo Estilo organizó, en colaboración con el Barrio de Las Letras (mi barrio), la 2ª edición de DecorAccion, 3 días en los que se pudo disfrutar de la decoración y el diseño en la calle. Mercadillo de anticuarios, fachadas emblemáticas decoradas por los mejores, escaparates con el sello de los interioristas. El barrió cobró una gran vida. Me llamó mucho la atención los tramos de calle decorados con paraguas suspendidos, y los graciosos maniquís, en sugerente actitud y posturas.

FOTO DEL DÍA 12 de Octubre 2011

Since last week, there's a new daily contest organized  by the user @ fotodeldia_. Foto del Día (Photo of the Day) chooses every day, in his/her opinion, the best photo uploaded between 00:00 h and 22.30h. He/she only requires to  follow him/her and tag the photo with the hashtag # fotodeldia.

Yesterday, October 12th, one of my photos was awarded as Photo of the Day, which was a very pleasant surprise. It was the perfect dessert for a fantastic day, having celebrated Spain´s national day, and my tenth anniversary. This is the statement of the award, and the original photo:

Desde hace una semana, hay una nuevo concurso diario organizado por el usuario @fotodeldia_ . Dairiamente, Foto del Día elige, según su criterio, la mejor foto subida entre las 00:00h y las 22.30h. Sólo exige seguirle y etiquetar la foto bajo el hashtag #fotodeldia.

Ayer, 12 de octubre, me llevé la sorpresa de que una foto mía fuera premiada como Foto del Día. Fue el postre a un fantástico día, con la celebración del Día de la Hispanidad y mi décimo aniversario. Os presento aquí el comunicado y la foto original:
